Rick Tocchet to be banned two full years for gambling conspiracy
Phoenix Coyotes’ assistant coach Rick Tocchet will have his ban extended until February 2008. Tocchet has been on a leave of absence since February 2006 for his involvement in gambling promotion and conspiracies, and that ban was extended until next year by commissioner Gary Bettman. More details on this gambling ring can be found here, but Bettman is just in trying to uphold the integrity of the game, and Tocchet is paying the price.
