Another Philadelphia Flyer, Randy Jones, suspended for brutal hit
The Philadelphia Flyers organization might need to send their players to an anger management session. Defenseman Randy Jones became the third Flyer this short season earning a suspension for a dirty hit. During a game on Monday against Boston, Jones skated up behind the Bruins’ Patrice Bergeron and checked his face into the boards. Bergeron lost consciousness and was taken off on a stretcher to the hospital. Jones apologized for the hit but accepted his 2-game suspension. It’s sad that these boneheaded hits are getting more and more frequent, but at least the NHL continues to bring the hammer down on these instigators.
