During a March 8, 2007 game against the Rangers, Chris Simon of the Islanders delivered a vicious blow with his stick to the face of Ryan Hollweg.  The slashing was in retaliation to having his face checked into the boards moments earlier.  I don’t care what happened, but you can’t swing your stick at someone’s face, you bonehead.  Simon apologized, but he still got suspended for the rest of the season (15 games plus any playoff games).
