Falcons blow lead with big thanks to DeAngelo Hall
A whole lot of boneheadedness on one third quarter drive was enough to propel the Panthers past the Falcons on Sunday. Corner DeAngelo Hall had been jawing with Steve Smith most of the game. On this drive, Smith burned him deep, and Hall had to drag him down, resulting in a 37-yard penalty. Then Hall shoved Smith on the next play, adding 15 more yards. Finally, after a big sack of Delhomme resulting in a fourth down, Hall drew another unsportsmanlike conduct penalty to keep the drive alive, resulting in a Panthers touchdown. Great work there buddy.
Update 9/26/2007: Hall has been fined $100,000 and may possibly be suspended for at a quarter of the next game for his antics last week against the Panthers. Think next time you bonehead!
