DeSean Jackson drops a touchdown on the 1
DeSean Jackson of the Philadelphia Eagles may qualify for “bonehead of the month” with his act on Monday Night football. In front of the entire nation, Jacokson made a great catch going deep from Donavan McNabb. He absolutely dominated the defender and went 70 or so yards for the touchdown. Or wait, as he got to the endzone this boneheaded receiver celebrated a bit early. DeSean dropped the ball in a hurry to put his hands in the air for celebration. Nobody thought much of it as the Cowboys didn’t even try to recover it. But the Dallas coaching staff knew he was an idiot. They challenged the play and it was ruled a fumble at the 1 yard line. Instead of a 70 yard touchdown, DeSean now had a 70 yard FUMBLE. Ouch. Luckily for the Eagles and Jackson, the Eagles still retained the ball on the 1 yard line and Brian Westbrook ran it in the next play. But that’s besides the point. Concentrate DeSean. Get INTO the endzone before releasing the ball. It’s football basics 101 in Philly! Check it out:
