Rhodes Blasts Lidle
So what’s the logical thing for any bonehead to do when a teammate get’s traded from their team? Ask Arthur Rhodes – the answer, of course, is to rub his name in the ground and talk as bad as you can about him! Rhodes’ former teammate Cory Lidle was shipped from the Phillies to the Yankees the other day. Rhodes had these things to say about his former colleague:
- He did not work at his craft
- He could be found in the clubhouse surfing the Internet or eating ice cream during games
- He’s a ’scab’
- He spent too much time flying his airplane and gambling
Lidle refused to believe he was that bad of a teammate. But even if he was, do you really go out publicly and call out your old teammate like this? Seems like a boneheaded move to us. And honestly, what’s a ’scab’? It would be one thing if this was Cy freakin Young calling out his teammate, but this is Arthur Rhodes. The same Arthur Rhodes that is 0-3 with a 5.67 ERA this year. Someone needs to question his work ethic a bit we think!
