Red Sox fans ordered to write essay after arrest due to celebration
This one is funny on both sides — first, as happens often in many sporting events, a lot of Boston fans got a little too crazy celebrating their team’s return to the World Series Sunday night. In fact, 26 fans got arrested for disorderly conduct as they ignored police orders and even threw rocks and bottles at the police. That’s bonehead act #1. Then the judge got creative with his sentence for 7 of these Red Sox fans, ordering them to write a 5-page essay on what they learned from their experience of getting arrested. What? So it’s like “I’m sorry, I’ll do better next time.” I’d love to get my hands on what those guys write — that would be good stuff!
