Hunter Pence gets cut walking through glass door

Are you serious with this? Houston Astros RF Hunter Pence was getting out of his hot tub in his spring training home to use the bathroom.  He claims to have left the door open.  He apparently did not notice that a friend had shut the door, and sure enough, BAM, he crashed into the glass sliding door.  This left Hunter with several cuts and will keep him out for at least a week.

“It’s pretty silly that this kind of a freak accident happened,” Pence said. “I just didn’t see the door and jumped through it,” he said. “I have small cuts everywhere. I didn’t really think I’d go through a glass door,” he said. “I was actually lucky, because none of the glass got stuck in any of my wounds.”

So I just don’t get it.  How can a guy that can hit a nasty curveball in the major leagues NOT see a sliding glass door?  Boneheaded injuries seem to be a commonplace in MLB.  Get better soon Hunter.
