For those of you that couldn’t understand that. He basically said he don’t need to sing the National Anthem because he’s black, and he doesn’t believe in that. Huh? What does that have to do with you bonehead? Is this guy serious??? He has been a Sports Bonehead before but this one takes the prize. Mark Cuban, the owner of the Mavericks responded:

“That said, we will be going through some advanced communication skill sessions together this training camp,” Cuban said Tuesday. “I have explained to him that cell phone cameras are not your friend and that what you think you said on camera is never what people will hear when it shows up on YouTube or TV.”

Get this moron out of the league. He might have talent but came up short on the brains.

Today’s bonehead doesn’t go to a player or a coach. It goes to Milwaukee Brewers GM Doug Melvin. The Brewers fired their long time coach, Ned Yost, recently. So what you say? Well, the Brewers are tied for the wild card and have essentially the 5th best record in the league. AND, there is just 12 games to go. Boneheaded move Brewers and it could bite ya. You just don’t do that type of thing. Yost has built a nice team here and has a real chance at going deep into the playoff. Why make a desperation move. You really think that is the problem? Quit being boneheads and look for something/someone different to blame!

As you all have probably read already, Vince Young is wondering if he should still play football. This guy has been a golden boy football God since he can remember. He had it made at Texas and surely in highschool. Now, in his third year with the Titans in the NFL, Vince is having some struggles. The fans are booing him and he is not playing great football. He has found out that his athleticism doesn’t get him as far in the NFL as it did in college.

Young left the game in week 1 with an “injury” and didn’t return. Later on, he was no where to be found without his cell phone. Friends and family found this concerning and called the team. The team had no clue and called the police. Turns out, Vince was just at a “friends” house and says he was watching MNF. He has since commented saying he is not sure if he wants to play football any longer.

Vince Young’s mom chimed in with this,

“What would you think, if you were tired of being ridiculed and persecuted and talked about and not being treated very well, what would you do? What kind of decision would you make?” Felicia Young said. “He may not want to deal with it [all], but you have to get to that point before you make that decision first.

“But we’re not talking about football right now. We’re talking about what would make him happy, and that is the most important thing.”

What would I do? Well, considering I’m being paid MILLIONS to play football and to be honest, quarterbacks get ridiculed quite often and are under a lot of pressure. I would SUCK IT UP and play some football. Good lord Vince - are you the only QB to get booed? Man up and play better. How you think Aaron Rodgers is feeling about right now being strutinized in the media every minute. Quit being a bonehead and get out there and play some football.

We are all for boneheaded incidents in sports. It’s fun and humorous sometimes. But what Julio Castillo of the Single A Peoria Chiefs did on Thursday was flat out STUPID. It was downright criminal actually. In a minor league baseball game between the Peoria Chiefs and Dayton Dragons the first inning had some fireworks. A Chiefs hitter was hit by pitch which prompted pitcher Julio Castillo to hit 2 batters in the top of the next inning. This prompted an aggressive slide into 2nd base. Castillo then pitched up and in to the next batter which brought out the Dayton manager. Chiefs interim manager, Carmelo Martinez (there for Ryne Sandberg) came out to here the discussion as well. The two managers got into a heated verbal exchange as things escalated.

Next thing you know, Julio Castillo fires a fastball from about 30 feet into the Dayton dugout. It is unclear who he is trying to hit - but that is besides the point. The ball did not hit anyone directly but bounced into the stands and hit a fan. The fan had to be taken to the hospital but little details are known at this point. This started a 10 minute bench clearing brawl between the two teams.

These are the Cubs and Reds class A teams. So it leads to the question… How can someone have that much anger built up to throw a ball that fast at someone. If that lands and hits someone squarely in the head, someone is dead. BONEHEAD BONEHEAD BONEHEAD. Actually, this may qualify for Bonehead of the year. Castillo was arrested and hopefully gets kicked out of baseball. Cya Bonehead.

At the State Farm Classic Michelle Wie left the course without signing her scorecard. Every stinkin’ match at the professional level you are to sign your card to verify it. But not Michelle. The forgetfullness cost her somewhere between $180,000 to $255,000 and a chance to move into the Top 80 in money winnings for the season.

The 18-year-old, playing her best golf of the year, broke one of the game’s most basic rules: She failed to sign her scorecard before leaving the scoring area.

“I don’t know why or how it happened,” Wie said.

NO DUH!

Wie took no questions before leaving the clubhouse at Panther Creek Country Club. She climbed into an SUV with her parents and drove away.

Can you imagine getting into a car with your parents after that mistake?? Pause for a moment and think about THAT conversation.

Michelle Wie is a BONEHEAD.

It didn’t take long for #1 NBA draft pick, Derrick Rose to find his way into the Sports Bonehead archives. Rose will appear in court this week for a traffic violation that occured just shortly after he declared for the draft. Not just any traffic violation - but he was caught going 106 in a 65 MPH speed limit zone. Yikes! The superstar has some speed. This could result in a year of jail, but won’t. It is his first boneheaded traffic violation so he should just get some traffic school. Good find with this guy Chicago - something tells me this won’t be the last run-in he has with the law in his days with the Bulls.

“I was freestyling. That’s all. It was all done in fun. Nothing serious whatsoever. That is what MCs do. They freestyle when called upon. I’m totally cool with Kobe. No issue at all. And by the way, don’t forget, six albums, two platinum, two gold. Anybody who knows me knows I’m a funny freestyler. Check the NBA DVD when I was rapping about Vlade Divac during my first championship run. Please tell everybody don’t make something out of nothing.”

Maybe you should make it a little further than Kobe and the Lakers before you start calling out Kobe. Sure, you won a championship without him. Whoopie. Where are you now bonehead?
