Lane Kiffin just can’t shut his big mouth. Even after losing to Florida he continues to talk. Florida coach, Urban Meyer stated that many of his team were sick with the flu during last weekends 23-13 win over Tennessee. How did Kiffin respond?

“I don’t know. I guess we’ll wait and after we’re not excited about a performance, we’ll tell you everybody was sick.”

Hey bonehead Kiffin. Win a few games before you really get this cocky.

Our Sportsbonehead award goes to the entire athletic department at Florida State. They cheated. They acted like they were Sgt. Schultz form Hogan’s Heroes and said “I know nothing.”

Bobby Bowden was making the bid to be the winningest coach in NCAA football history and now that is being sidelined.

Here is the deal: The Seminoles will have to give up two scholarships this recruiting season and one the following year for football. Other sports will lose scholarships and have victories — including three NCAA national championships in track and field — threatened.

The NCAA said 61 Florida State athletes cheated on an online test from the fall of 2006 through summer 2007 or received improper help from staffers who provided them with answers to the exam and typed papers for them.

Many of the sports will be impacted.

The 79-year-old Bowden, who has often stated he wanted to reach 400 wins before calling it a career, was not available to comment on the NCAA report.

The men’s basketball program will lose one scholarship for two years and the women’s program will be down two for two years. Other programs were hit with fractional reductions.

For this, Florida State, you are a SPORTSBONEHEAD.

Can you believe this kid? Kevin Hart made up these bogus stories that he had been recruited by Cal and Oregon. Check out his little confession on the issue:

Florida defensive end Cunningham gets misdemeanor for throwing paper cups

This is fantastic. Florida defensive end Jermaine Cunningham, along with former linebacker Jon Demps, were arrested for misdemeanor battery, and Cunningham may end up missing his bowl game against Michigan because of it. Did he get in a fist fight or whack someone with a bat? No. Demps threw a sandwich at a Jimmy John’s worker and Cunningham threw empty paper cups at the guy who was trying to make them pay for a bag of chips! The cops were called and the guys fled, but they were soon later found on campus and arrested. Hmm, I bought a bag of chips — I don’t need to pay for these, I’ll just raise hell in the Jimmy John’s and get arrested instead. Very classy, boneheads.

Rice band director belittles Tulsa coach

Welcome Rice band director Chuck Throckmorton to the world of sports bonehead! Todd Graham was coach at Rice for a year, but then left and now coaches Tulsa. So what does the Rice band do to welcome him back? At halftime, the band put on a show depicting Graham in the pits of hell! The show was based on Dante’s “Inferno,” and Graham was found in the deepest ranks of hell behind a door that said “Welcome to Tulsa.” Okay, maybe that’s supposed to be in fun, maybe. But then the PA announcer called him a nasty name to top it off? Are you kidding? Maybe it started off as good fun, but the boneheads crossed the line there, and Tulsa filed a complaint because of it. Read the dialogue here.

Utah onside kicks while up 43; Wyoming coach gives them the finger

There’s some dual boneheadedness going on here — during Saturday’s game between Utah and Wyoming, Utah attempted an onside kick near the end of the game while they were up 43-0! Wyoming recovered the kick, but Wyoming coach Joe Glenn still sent an obscene gesture towards the Utah bench. Now I know you’re supposed to act professional as a coach, but can you blame him? I’d be irate if I were getting slaughtered 43-0 and the other team tried an onside kick on me. Pretty classless move by Utah, but Wyoming’s Coach Glenn gains boneheaded glamor too for flipping the bird in front of everyone! To add to it, Coach Glenn guaranteed a win in this game, which may have prompted all this in the first place — crazy.

Tennessee tailback LaMarcus Coker suspended for missing drug counseling session

This guy has some persistent problems that are about to get him kicked off the team. Tennessee tailback LaMarcus Coker will not play this Saturday against Louisiana-Lafayette. Plagued by many drug problems over the last couple years, you’d think the easiest thing for Coker to do was attend these mandatory counseling sessions. Kind of ironic that a guy who’s name is Coker has such drug problems! We’ll know sometime later today if a recent drug test Coker had to submit is positive, and if so, he’ll be dismissed from the team. In any case, he’s at least suspended this week.

UPDATE — Coker has been dismissed from the team.

LSU players Perrilloux and Odom out for Alabama game

LSU head coach Les Miles is punishing option quarterback Ryan Perrilloux and backup linebacker Derrick Odom for their involvement in a fight at a night club last weekend. Perrilloux and Odom did not practice Monday, and LSU will prepare for Alabama without them. Both Odom and Perrilloux have had off-field troubles before, so this incident is the just the latest in a series of run-ins with the law. This upcoming game against Alabama is huge, and these boneheads decided to get in a scuffle with some bouncers at a bar. Smart move fellas.

UPDATE — Odom has been kicked off the team after receiving a misdemeanor charge of criminal damage to property. Linebacker Jeremy Benton was also booted from the team, but Perrilloux will rejoin the team next week.

Illinois State football players kicked off team for stealing wallet

I really doubt this boneheaded act was worth the consequences. Illinois State wide receiver Micha Gordon and backup defensive back Cameron Cyril Thompkins were arrested on Thursday, stemming from charges of stealing a classmate’s wallet back in September. The wallet contained all of $50 cash and a few credit cards — jackpot! Gordon and Thompkins were promptly dismissed from the team. What on earth prompted these boneheads to pull a stunt like this? Good riddance.

Three Michigan State football players face felony robbery charge

Three Michigan State football players were arraigned Wednesday on a felony robbery charge. The incident took place back in April, but coach Mark Dantonio has not yet taken any action against players T.J. Williams, SirDarean Adams, and Jeremy Ware. If they’re found guilty to any extent, you can bet suspensions are coming. Williams starts at cornerback and Adams starts at linebacker for the Spartans. I’ll never understand the reason that some college athletes pull boneheaded stunts like this one!
