Michelle Wie, you are a bonehead. One of exorbinant proportions.

At the State Farm Classic Michelle Wie left the course without signing her scorecard. Every stinkin’ match at the professional level you are to sign your card to verify it. But not Michelle. The forgetfullness cost her somewhere between $180,000 to $255,000 and a chance to move into the Top 80 in money winnings for the season.

The 18-year-old, playing her best golf of the year, broke one of the game’s most basic rules: She failed to sign her scorecard before leaving the scoring area.

“I don’t know why or how it happened,” Wie said.

NO DUH!

Wie took no questions before leaving the clubhouse at Panther Creek Country Club. She climbed into an SUV with her parents and drove away.

Can you imagine getting into a car with your parents after that mistake?? Pause for a moment and think about THAT conversation.

Michelle Wie is a BONEHEAD.

The national attention this story has gotten is immense, and with good reason. Since 2001, Vick has been involved in an illegal dog fighting ring, where his activities included financing the operation, acting as a bookie for gamblers on the dog fights, and even participating in fights and executions. Vick eventually entered a guilty plea for most of the accused activities, although he denied betting on or killing any of the dogs himself. His sentencing will come on December 10, but he’s already been suspended indefinitely from the NFL without pay. It’s an awful story from an incredible bonehead.

On Thanksgiving Day in November, 1993, Lett and his Cowboys led 14-13 as Miami was attempting a go-ahead field goal near the end of the game. The Cowboys blocked the kick, and all they had to do was let the ball die so they would take over possession and win the game. Lett, meanwhile, scampers after the ball, sliding towards it in an attempt to scoop it up or fall on it. Lett ends up booting it, making it a live ball, and Miami recovers! Miami then went on to kick the winning field goal, with Lett’s gaffe costing his team the game – truly one of the great boneheaded plays in NFL history.

Well, as Lett neared the goal line, he slowed to a trot and extended the ball out to the side to showboat across the line. Little did Lett know that Don Beebe was hustling after him, and Beebe knocked the ball out of the back of the endzone for a touchback just before Lett crossed the goal line! The blunder didn’t cost Dallas the game, as they won in a rout, but Lett made a fool of himself on a national stage. He’ll be remembered more for this fumble than for his positive contributions to the team. Way to go, Leon.
